How to send custom keyboard clicks to HTPC?

I am currently using Simple Control andto control my HTPC with it (through MCE controller).

There must be a way to send simple (custom) keystrokes commands to my HTPC the same way? for example, send the HTPC a “shift+a” or simply “a” or whatever simple command?

There are old threads around here talking about that, but every link they point to has become invalide since their creation.

Any help is welcome!

What did you figure out?

Are you thinking about using our RC-6 IR remote receivers or IP-based control ? I have Kodi but didn’t get very far with it’s setup in SC.
