I just finished my home theater room. Looking at different remotes or Control4, came upon this product. I need it to manage my proejctor, receiver, dvd and possibly ps4. All my equipment is in an AV closet within the room. Besides the app what else would I need to be bale to keep my closet door closed and still be able to use the remote?

it depends on your AV equipments. If they are supported by Simple Control over IP then you good to download the app and start testing. If some of them aren’t compatible, then you will need to get IR blaster from the simple control online shop, and control it through that.
When you say over IP, does that mean all the equipment has to be wired to my in house network?
Pretty much. You might be able to get away with Wi-Fi on some equipment, but wired is certainly more reliable.
